Founded in 2017, LS Drama Workshops is Plymouth’s performing arts school, offering dynamic drama and musical theatre sessions for children and teens aged 4-18. Whether in group classes or one-on-one sessions, we provide an inspiring environment where young performers can thrive. Our team of highly skilled instructors are graduates of prestigious drama schools (BA Hons) and bring a wealth of professional performance and teaching experience to every session. As experts in the field, they are passionate about guiding each student to unlock their full potential and achieve excellence both on and off the stage.

The Team
Principal / Teacher: Laura
Laura graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Acting (Musical Theatre) from LIPA a leading drama school in Liverpool, where she developed a strong foundation in performance. The following year, she became a member of the National Youth Theatre and gained a specialist qualification in Acting for TV and Film. Eager to share her passion, she went on to complete her teacher training with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
In 2017, Laura founded her own drama school in Plymouth—a dynamic and inclusive space where creativity, confidence, and individuality thrive. Her teaching is rooted in the belief that every young person has a unique voice, and she is dedicated to helping students step outside their comfort zones and grow in skill and self-belief.
With a professional background that includes performances at iconic venues such as The London Palladium, the Liverpool Playhouse, and The Barbican Theatre, Laura brings real-world experience and insight to her classes—empowering the next generation to shine on stage and beyond.
Teacher, Costume Designer: Holly
Holly trained at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, completing 28 graded performance exams over three years and performing in numerous productions at London venues. A highlight of her career was performing at The Royal Windsor Show in front of the Royal Family. Alongside her performance and teaching experience, Holly holds a degree in Costume Design, combining her love for performing with a deep understanding of Theatre production. She personally designs and crafts all costumes for our full-scale productions, ensuring each piece is not only visually stunning but enhances the overall performance. With ten years of teaching experience and preparing students for accredited exams and productions, Holly’s teaching style is marked by precision and dedication. She is committed to helping every student reach their full potential through tailored support, fostering both confidence and technical growth.
A versatile professional with expertise in performance, costume design, and teaching, Holly is passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers and creatives, empowering them to succeed both on stage and behind the scenes.
